I arrived way too early for a sunrise shot, hence nighttime photography. Two shots with different light temperatures for your consideration. The lighted structure you see on the horizon left is over 5 miles away. Sigma 10-20mm lens. Not too happy with the actual sunrise shots, so I'll not bore you with them. djt

very nice but , I do prefer the first on e over the second one though....the piece of wood (part of pier??) to me it really doesn't do anything for the photo and it keep pulling my eyes to it, and like I said it really doesn't seem to belong...photo#1

That lumber on the left IS part of the pier, but I agree with your comments. The first photo is my favorite, as well as the light temperature I used with it. Thanks for your time. djt

Hello, I am a Newbie Nikon D3300 shooter, I will be visiting the East coast of Florida in April for a month and I want to practice, practice, practice, creating sunrise, sunset, and predawn images. My personal opinion of your images, are very good, maybe excellent, from a Newbies point of view, so exactly what Camera settings did you use for your creative images.

I'm with Tom all the way on this. Even though you have the leading line of the pier in the image, for some reason that blasted hunk of wood in the left is hogging the spotlight.
