Of course I had to take my stab at this.

You Did say the gazelle in the distance, right?
watercolor, with selective masking for the effect, for blur and for saturation, among other edits.
Definitely an experiment for me!
I went for deeper and dramatic colors. Haven't used the Navy blue in a long time. For this transformation I used Topaz Textures, Clarity, several filters, layer masks, along with tools and brushes, in PSE.
It's been an exercise in patience not to comment on each of these, but I've learned a lot and am better for it! Thank you!
Amazing work, all of you! Thank you for participating and for your unique visions! I would not have thought of any of these on my own.

My Image - Your Look: Grant's Gazelle VOTING
This has been an excellent thread, Steve, and IMO, one of the most elegantly simple and effective treatments has been Bob Yankel's use of radial blur to blur leave the gazelle un-blurred and, in comparison, appearing sharpened. All the more effective because it was a bit soft in the original! I tried a similar approach, but without the refinement of Bob's and wound up not even submitting it (glad I didn't).
Anyway, your image and request elicited a wonderful array of responses and I've come away with some valuable perspectives as a direct result of your having conceived the idea for this thread.
Many thanks.
