D750 RAW settings: use what?

If you choose RAW, you still have more choices to make. One is recording type: lossless-compressed or compressed.

The second choice is 12 bit or 14 bit color depth.

What are those that use RAW selecting?

I use 14 bit 'uncompressed'.

If I'm gonna shoot RAW (I actually shoot Raw & JPEG) I figure I might as well grab all the information I can get.

I shoot raw on my D7100, 14 bit lossless compressed. Don't know why the option exists for lossy compression on raw ;)

14 bit lossless. google the difference and see what you prefer. if you are going to shoot raw, and if you do post processing you should, you may as well get all the info possible. the lower settings are just to save space on your card.

There is a visible difference between 12 and 14 bit - use 14 bit.
There is no discernible difference between lossless compressed and uncompressed - but there is a difference between lossless compressed and compressed - use lossless compressed.

I've been wondering about this, trying both with no noticeable difference. But 14-bit HAS to be better right?
These guys did a comprehensive test, take it for what its worth.

I've been shooting RAW for about 6 years. 14 bit color and lossless compression.
