You're right on top of things, Bill! Thanks for taking a look and posting. (I think there was another sunset post after you sent your message)!
A good day to you - ted.

Those are fantastic sunset photos. Just curious as to type lens used? Has to be a premier one.

Thank you mas24, for your pausing to look and post your thoughts - I appreciate it. The lens is the standard Nikkor 28-300 mm zoom and I've been very happy with it - the only one I had until just recently. I just got the 14-24 to help out with a wider angle so now it's a matter of carrying around the extra lens, but I'm thinking it will be worth it. Have a good evening,
ted

OH,My, traveled, #1 just stopped me in my tracks! Just a breathtaking scene, beautifully captured! I love those vivid colors. And having said that, I love the muted colors of #5 as well. Seeing these villages through your images has been such an inspiring trip for me. Thank you!

You are most kind with your thoughts, and I do appreciate your stopping by and sharing. Now it's your turn to take a trip over there and share what you come home with. It seems like it's the kind of place that you just can't miss!

Stunningly beautiful set Ted, you have done Tuscany proud, just the job on a chilly winter morning,

The more I look at these photos, the more I realize what draws me to the pictures I take and those I admire from other photographers. It's not necessarily the composition or the subject, but the color. Sometimes I see a photo of an amazing subject, but the colors are uninspiring to me. And then I see a photo of a less dramatic subject but with vibrant color and I'm drawn to it immediately. Your photos invoke the latter for me (no disrespect meant about the subjects of course, but color trumps subject for me and yours are "color rich").
