Thanks. Because it is bright silver metal you get reflections from different angles on the coin surface which I wish I could reduce or eliminate. Maybe different lighting would help, dunno.

What kind of lighting do you use? Are you using a light box?

I now have a light box but at the time I did not. I'll have to experiment with that. The two images here were made with natural light coming through a window with sheers three feet away. I have another set of dime images made using a led ring light which are maybe slightly better.

When you experiment with your light box, use room lighting and keep the front panel closed except for a small opening for the lens. You'll have to use a longer exposure of course, but this will cut way back on glare and reflections.
