Every year the bikers from around the Twin Cities area including Western Wisconsin get together to raise money for the children's hospital. Last year over 50,00 bikes were reported to have gone past this location. You are welcome to make comment on the picture. Thanks Leon

Personally, I don't think the shot captures the excitement & energy of a biker event. The guy in the foreground blocks what is happening behind him & adds nothing to the scene. I've been at biker events where there is noise, color, excitement & interesting people: their dress, tattoos, facial expressions, etc. I think a series of shots showing the crowds, the excitement, close ups of the individual bikes, which can be works of art, the individual bikers, groups of bikers standing next to their bikes, people in the crowd, etc. would be very interesting. Sorry. Just my opinion.

50,000 is a lot of scooters. The download is a lot better than the posted image. Your EXIF shows you shot it with an 85mm. There is obviously something going on to the right in the photo I can't help but wonder if a shorter focal length might have included something more interesting going on. Anyway, it isn't an everyday event. Thanks for sharing. :-)

Fifty thousand is a big number, but that is the estimate of the affair. What you see goes on from 4 to 5 hours.

Your right, a bike event does have a lot going on. The sounds of the bikes, the smell of the exhaust, the vibration on the ground, and through out your body as the bikes pass, and more. However, I haven't figured out yet how to get those things on film as of today.
Another interesting comment another person made was I should have used a much wider lens. I felt I was pushing my own safety using a 85mm setting while standing along the path of so many bikes going by. Safety should always be part of what ever your doing. Every year at least one person losses their life while participating in this event. But thanks for the comments. LEon

I think trying to capture all of it at once is impossible. Capturing little things that happen that tell the story of the whole big picture is much easier.
