I've been to the Alabama Hills (near Lone Pine, CA) twice. A very weird looking place. Mount Whitney is remarkable! The Trona Pinnacles are very strange too!

Excellent shots and beautiful scenery David, wonderful colours in #2.  :D
Thank you for a spectacular introduction to a location I never knew existed.
Bozsik,
I too agree that No.2 is a beautiful photo. It just shows that you don't have to go to the end of the earth to take great pictures, when you have such views in your own country.
Keep them coming, is all that I have to say.

I haven't been to the Trona Pinnacles before. I'll have to look them up for my next visit.

Splendid, David. Made me want to dig thru my transparencies to find my shots of the Alabama Hills. Your images of this fascinating area are dramatic.
