Fly into Brooks, that's where Nat Geo film bears at the waterfall, you can view the live cam there, also great fishing

August is the perfect time for bear viewing. I use a Nikon D800 and lean toward a 500 mm f/4, or the Nikkor 80-400. There is a road that parallels the Chilkoot River, where people can move up and down the river while the bears engage in their favorite sport of fishing.
