Here are a few pictures I was able to get of Snow Geese and a few Sandhill Cranes. There were thousands of geese. I could not believe how loud they were when they started to fly. I was at the right place at the right time.

Can only imagine how loud it was when those snow geese started taking off. Its a wonder they don't knock out some of the other geese. Surprised the cranes stayed on the ground but they probably enjoyed the less crowded area. Enjoyed the last 3 photos of the cranes. Mahalo for sharing.

Thank you Bill. I didn't like the first picture but wanted to show how much taller the cranes were. Terri

Thank you JoAnne! I don't know how they fly without hurting each other. They flew right over us. I was so glad they didn't drop something disgusting on me or my camera. lol. Terri

That second shot is amazing. From what I understand the Snow Geese are taking over nesting sites and forcing out other species from their nestig sites. The are noisy - honking in the air and on the ground.....yack, yack, yack. :-)

Thank you AnutieM! I was amazed at how many geese there were. The cranes did not seem to be bothered by them. Terri
