I have a similar policy concerning titles. If they are non-descriptive, I move along to more interesting threads.

must be nice to have a life where this is your biggest problem. i would glady trade putting up with one title threads for a job that pays above poverty, a wife and kids, and not having to live above inconsiderate dopers constantly playing obscene word rap music and the smell of burning cheap pot that doesnt allow me to keep windows and doors open or to enjoy my balconey.

i realize rereading that post that it could be taken as snarky! my apologies it wasn't meant that way, as i was typing the (c)rap music was playing not to mention the strong burning odor of skunk weed. I know what it smells like from mispent college days as well as haveing been in law enforcement. The point i was trying to make is basicaly don't sweat the small stuff. don't even give it the time of day. If it isn't about life, death, or where you will spend eternity (smoking or non smoking) it isn't worth getting upset over. anyways if i offended you or anyone who read my post i apoligize.

Many beginners don't know where to start or how to ask the right question. I would rather spend my time helping with simple problems than engaging in a debate about how "appropriately" a question is worded.

I think what Photoman, Nikonian and others including me are saying is: Get specific..Almost every post here is about needing help. Titling the thread with "HELP!" is redundant.

Call the cops. You don't have to give your name. (you know that) Call and set up a meet, explain your retired from "the job" ask for a couple of drive by's, mabey a noise complaint will get them close enough to smell the ganja.
