I am so jealous!!
One nesting pair on Long Island, the closest one can get is a half mile from the nest. I used a SX50 to look for the nest and found it and one of the nesting pairs, handheld. In another month and I'll be back out there hoping I can catch them in flight.

Nice shots, and number for of excellent.
You certainly got rewarded for your efforts. WOW!
Thanks everyone for your kind comments, the one in the tree I actually had to manually focus as the camera wanted to focus on the pine needles. As far as the birds flying together I often see the eagles fighting and actually that is what I went to try and capture... Eagles make a sound that I can only describe as whistling tones that is very unique, when you hear this sound you can usually spot eagles in some sort of conflict, be it play or fighting over food, but it seems to me the sound is usually made when they are interacting with another bird, be it another eagle or other species, the problem is that often they are deep in the woods where it is impossible to capture.
Here is a link of two young males in conflict that I felt extremely lucky to capture, I think that it is probably, at least in my opinion, my best capture of action with these birds. It was the vocal noises they were making that drew me to the action.

If you can get out in a boat on the Canaveral National Seashore you will find eagles, not to mention all kinds of other birds.
I will have to research that for my trip next February.
