Can anyone offer an explanation on the 'bubbles' surrounding these bumble bees? They look like little bubbles of moisture, but I'm wondering if it is pollen creating that effect. By contrast, I include an image taken several days ago on different flowers. Better viewed on the download.
I'll be the first to admit that they are not perfect images - I'm just curious about those "bubbles".

The bees are starting to get pollen stuck to their hair. I've got shoots of bees coated so heavy that they look like they can hardly fly.
