Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do...

Another flower shot taken on my visit to the Lily pond, also processed in NIK. I hate the strong stalk that slopes up on the right of the image, but my skills are not up to cloning it out, since it goes right over one of the flower heads.

This was processed the same day as the others I posted, so I haven't yet tried to do the NIK processing through PS to cut down on file size. That's my next experiment...

Very pretty, Phil! I could also see a composition that removes the right hand group of flowers entirely, giving you more of a vertical crop.

That could be a valid point. Because I never print photos, viewing them purely on the monitor, I tend never to think in terms of vertical format...

I really didn't see that particular stalk in camera, which is probably a capital offense to some UHH members!

LOL - there is much these days that I don't see in the viewfinder or LCD :)

Lovely shot with a bit of a dreamy effect, Phil. Reminds me of spring.

Nice one, Phil, but I agree with Linda--I would also crop out the right hand side. :D :D

I don't know... I keep looking at it, but - apart from that darned stalk - I really like the composition as is. It just feels nicely 'balanced' to me. Maybe I will try to be clever, clone it out and replace that flower head with another or something.

I really don't go much for the vertical format at all... To me, pictures are meant to be wide, not tall...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Phil. Whatever you like/prefer is all that counts. That is why four photographers can all take the same photo & end up with four different crops. :-D
