I have a old copy stand I've had for many years. I am beginning to get to the point where I need to get rid of some things and I am looking to sell this. My problem is I don't know its value. Can anyone give me a value or lead me in the right direction? I know I can contact B&H or KEH and they'll tell me what they will give me for it but I'm looking for the price they would offer it for sale.
I would like it to go to a collector that might have interest in displaying it.

maybe get some bids from b&h, keh, or adorama, and add 20%. that is probably their markup, maybe more.

One is for sale on Ebay for $3343 or Best Offer. You now know a rough guide for its value. Good luck. Remeber Ebay takes 10 percent commision and PayPal 5 percent. I am a believer in selling my equipment on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nikon-RF-Model-P-Copy-Stand-for-Nikon-Rangefinder-Camera-Complete-Set-Very-RARE-/252280507495?hash=item3abd170c67:g:9BUAAOSwfcVUJG6Q

I saw this post. His case is in better condition than mine. That could be fixed with wood glue and clamps. He does however have one eyepiece that's missing from mine. I have tithe same cable release but I'm not sure it came with this setup originally. The machining and overall quality for this type of equipment isn't made today. It would be cost prohibitive.

So, It boils down to what you paid for it, and what you want to get out of it. In th past B&H gave me a quote via email. Yes, they don't make equipment like this anymore. Superb Quality.

We will never actually know for sure but I think there are lots of people on this board who would gladly give $200.00 for one of these. The case alone is worth more than $200.00. I agree about the machining, incredible! Have fun with it.

The ad was the asking price. Who knows what the sold price will be.
We had a similar stand at work for SLR's , I think.

It's interesting to see how many of these stands are listed on eBay from $3300 to >$5000. What's more I resisting is to see the number of listings marked "Relisted" or "Ended"; I could not find a single one marked "Sold"!

From the photos, it looks like it sold for $175 new, but that's mostly irrelevant now.
