Not really sure this counts as a close-up, but everyone else seems to be posting flowers, so here goes...
We have a lily-pond not too far from here, and I spent a few hours there a year or two ago. This was one of the resulting images... Processed using (or trying...) the NIK tools.

Beautiful shot here Phil. They are my favorite plants in our pond. This is an American White Water Lily, Fragrant White Water Lily, Beaver Root and the list of its aliases goes on. Fine work. Did you get much snow yesterday? We had 10" up here on the mountain.

Thank you... We had a couple of inches or so, I guess. I had some errands to run during the morning when it was coming down pretty hard, but the roads were just wet then. It didn't really start to build up until after dark. Unfortunately, after the nice mild period and quick thaw from the blizzard, we are now supposed to be heading down into the deep freeze... Our 7-day forecast has several negative numbers in it...
I have another nice flower from that day, which I will be posting this morning.
