Just received a D7200 referbed camera from Adorama and it came with out a owners manual. Called Adorama and was told to download it. I really would like to have a light weight copy to keep in the camera case. Nikonusa doesn't list one either. Does anyone know if the D7100 owners manual would be any different and if so what basically would the differences be? Thanks. Leon

You can probably find a hard copy selling on eBay... maybe an original, maybe a copy. There are also some camera manual services online that will provide digital or printed copies.

Watch out, though... I just bought a couple Canon 7D Mark II.... the supplied printed manual with them appears to be the "Readers Digest" abridged version! It's 180 pages. The digital version is 548 pages and there's a 50 page supplement to that for the AF system alone! Canon cost-cutting, I'm sure. I've heard that some models no longer include a printed manual at all!

I don't understand why you don't just put the manual on your phone. That way you'll have it with you all the time and you'll have search capabilities.

I don't have a smart phone and don't intend to get one. I LIKE my flip phone and I don't want to carry a tablet. Its that simple,.

I concur. Have bought Busch manuals for every Nikon camera since D3100. His books provide very clear and usable info not found in the Nikon manual. I have both the book and the Field Guide. Cheers - JRH

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into it after I have the Nikon manual in my hands. This D7200 is not my first camera. Leon

DUDE!! and I thought I was OCD!, so what you are saying is "you want the manual that is supposed to come with the camera" AND you do not want to go to Nikonusa" and download it for free, then go have one printed"??
I got it!!!

That's right. I have already ordered and paid for a manual out of 42ndstreetphoto.com. Total cost just under $10.00. Should arrive on Monday. Problem solved.

I don't understand why so many people keep recommending this when Leon already said he doesn't have an iPhone and doesn't want to carry a tablet. I'm in the same situation. My $30 phone makes phone calls. :XD:

Thank you Oddjobber. When you get old and have trouble walking, the last thing you want is more weight to carry and more electronics to learn to use. I totally agree, my phone is probably 8 years old and makes phone calls when I need to. My wife has a smart phone and she doesn't even want to use her limited battery life to reference manuals. Another thing about a manual, is that I can mark the book and tab areas often used for quick reference.

Sorry but you'd have to actually type it in your message for anyone here to hear you.
He did MtnMan, was in one of his earlier reply's to another comment. You are too quick to overload your mouth with your anal orifice. Too many people are out to belittle others here when they have no idea where they ae coming from. Take the time to read everything previous so you know what has and what has not been previously offered. It is called common courtesy, and it is terribly lacking here.

BE ADVISED: ***** I had very recently purchased a new Nikon D7200 from B&H PHOTO in NYC and it came in a new box, yet did not have the Owner's Manual to the Camera in the Box. I called B&H Customer Service, and told them about this, and they checked with someone, and then they told me, that they were going to have Nikon send me a Replacement Catalog to my home address. It arrived 10 days later!
(For what it is worth...)

Leon,

Glad you were able to find a copy online from 42nd Street. For future reference, in the past I've been able to get ones from an online resource like Camera Books <www.camerabooks.com> and Keh Camera <www.keh.com>. They usually have most paper manuals available for purchase for a reasonable price.
