Have photos from recent trip in Lightroom, did develop on each now trying to create slideshow. Each time I try It says there's problem and shuts down lightroom. I haven't done an uninstall and reinstall. Any ideas ??

Which version of Lightroom are you using? What is the platform you are using it on - PC or Mac? Have you attempted to contact Adobe? Did you try using UHH's Search feature (at the top of this page) to search on "Lightroom Slideshow" or "Slideshow problem"?

At what step in the slideshow creation process does it fail?

So that you don't lose your efforts, I would use the Library Module to select the images that you want in the slideshow and put them in a Collection. Then you can put them in whatever order you want, then work on them in the Slideshow Module.
