It was a very dark and windy night, when the moon suddenly appeared then quickly disappeared behind the dark clouds. I waited for a moment when it reappeared behind a wisp of rapidly moving clouds, to take the shot.
The red color was brighter than in the shot.

Nicely photographed - a mysterious mood.
Nicely done, Sirius. It reminds me of a scene from 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Your image engages the imagination of the viewer in a wonderful way.
Nicely done my friend!! You waited for the perfect shot and you got it... very eerie with the clouds, I like it!!

I did a little PP in iPhoto and think it looks better, more like what I saw.

It's interesting that Basil Rathbone was an accomplished Shakespearean stage actor but is remembered by most as the actor who played Sherlock Holmes.

I loved Rathbone's Holmes, but Jeremy Bretts version seems more to the written character. Love them both.
