Was looking at some images I too of A GBH today at our local duck pond and came across this one of a double rainbow I took with my Sony P&S on our trip to Iceland, among other countries last September.
I apologize for the fact that it is with my p&s and not my D5200. If not for the fact that I had dropped my gloves, I would not have had the opportunity to get this shot with ANY camera. I had dropped my gloves somewhere on the way from the falls back to the car. I put my camera gear in the car and we took off to backtrack on the "great glove hunt" - our first of many on this trip. I was well ahead on the trail and saw one rainbow and then the second - NO CAMERA!! Then I remembered I had the little sony in my pocket. So glad I did. I even took a 2 minute video.
Enjoy
The best camera will always be the one that you have with you.
There is no need for an apology. :)

Thanks for looking. You are definitely right about the best camera. There have been a few times when I was glad to have ANY camera with me to get a shot - even one that wasn't too great!
Awesome Capture. Super image.

Nice! Seriously, would the 5200 have done better?

Thanks for looking and commenting. I was thrilled to see the one rainbow. When I saw the second one, I thought I was seeing things. It took me a while to realize I had my little sony in my pocket.
Oh - we did find my gloves. Only to lose them several times again on the same trip. My problem was they kept falling out of the car unnoticed when I lunged out to get a shot! Next trip like this I will safetyy pin them to my jacket or make myself one of those things parents use on kids - goes through the sleeves with a glove or mitten fastened at both ends.

Thanks for looking and commenting. To answer your question - YUP, I am pretty sure I would have done much beter with my D5200. Unfortunately we will never know for sure. Next time I have to backtrack, I'll be sure to lug all the gear I had with me on the trek out!
