YUP hate GAS and it's contagious, I get it from visiting too many photography web sites, by listening to too many podcasts that talk photography and reading too many reviews. Maybe I should just live under a rock it's safer there

Got some extra play dough from some non-photography part time work I do with playing piano/keyboard.

I've been hearing the merits of mirrorless cameras especially the FUJI XT1 and XT10. My budget would allow an XT10 with a couple of lenses. I'm already a Canon shooter with a 70d and the a couple of EF lenses. For about the same dollar outlay I could buy the full frame 6d.

Hmmm, not jumping into anything just going to keep reading and keep the confusion going

A cure for GAS? Stop reading about the latest gear news. What you don't know about, you don't lust after.

As a retiree I have plenty of time on my hands. Not rushing on a decision but if I move to the 6d the 70d very well could be up for sale.

I've never even held a mirrorless camera, much less used one, so I can't comment on which one you should buy. I did have a 70D before buying a 6D. Since I did little action shooting at the time the 6D was perfect for me. You can shoot action with it, but it's going to be harder to get comparable results. I currently have both a 6D and 7DII and find them to be a great combination. Some time back I did a comparison of the view areas of the 70D vs the 6D:

If you scroll down the overlays will show you the kind of difference you can expect should you go with the 6D.

Thank you, I appreciate your response. Like yourself I'm not doing much action shooting. I like what I see with the 6d, but am a bit caught up in the hype of Fuji Mirrorless,, not going to be a cut and dry decision.

I have the 60D and love it. With the 70 a notch above and you are not saying any negatives and not saying there is a gap in glass and saying you are doing some skill-set improvement here is what I see. As a senior I was changing from sports to scenic because my grand daughter injury.

I purchased 6D/BG E13 body/grip and a couple of premium lenses. I love them but some health issues have popped up. If that ha not happen I would also added another smaller street camera.

Times I can only justify a purchase or direction by saying that what I want to do.
