Testing out another eBay purchase: a Unitron M LWD 20x NA 0.30 240/0 lens. It has a 17mm Working Distance at 20x, and has an effective aperture of f/33. Too much diffraction for my D7000, but I knew this before I bought it. At 15.5:1 mag, my effective aperture is f/25.8, which is marginal for small aperture diffraction. This image is 72 frames at .004 mm steps, via Zerene PMax.

I have the bellows, but while I can reverse the lens holder end of the bellows assembly, I can't reattach the bellows to it without a lens reversed & attached, as the release button is in the way. Were you able to find an adapter that has the bayonet mount on one end and filter threads on the other? I was considering cutting out a hole in body cap.

I also looked into doing this with an enlarger lens thinking they are flat field in design and would have better edge-to-edge sharpness. Well guess what that 75 mm tap will run you? Try $900-$1100. I gave up on that idea.
