Test photos from ANOTHER lens.
I took this new lens out today, along with the other one. It was the first time out with it and I was very pleased. It's a SMC Pentax-DA 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 ED AL [IF]. With what few shots I've taken with it so far, I think I'm going to like it a lot. A great focal length range. Auto focus is very fast and it's quite sharp with good color saturation. I think it's going to be a great "One lens does it all" option.
Taken with a Pentax K-50 using the SMC Pentax 18-250mm lens. ISO 400
I believe you are right. Looks very good to me.
The first two are very nice..can't quite figure out the steer image.

Can't find the lens you list as a Pentax. Available as a Sigma. What were the focal length used and I assume this is a crop factor lens

The "eyes." I can't tell which one is the eye and which ones are black hair spots. Mighty weird!

Stange, it doesn't show up on B&H and when I did Google search it came up with just the Sigma lenses. Google will yield an 18-270 mm f3.5-6.3. Adorama comes up empty too. OK I get it now. They stopped production on this lens in 2011. The 18-270 is the replacement
