We went to the desert to photograph Big Horn Sheep. These are three of the males we saw. It is amazing how well they survive in such a hostile environment. We followed them for about 6 hours. My husband finally said we had to go back. I am use to hiking for miles but I was sore, bloody and tired when I got back to the car. Thanks for looking.

Fantastic photos, Terri! That last one alone must have made all the effort worthwhile!

These shots are a great reward for such a long hike. I particularly like #3 for the expression and the angle of the shot. #4 has sharp detail, especially in his beautiful horns. Can't blame you a bit for following their lead.

Thank you Linda! We had just turned around to go back when I heard the Rams. Lucky for me I still had my camera out and was able to get a quick shot of them butting heads. For Christmas Alan got me the Canon 100-400 ll lens with the 1.4 extender. So far I love it. It focuses so much faster then the old 100-400.

Thank you Murex. I like #3 also. In #4 I wanted to show how rugged his horns were. I was surprised to see the blood on them. I took so many pictures of them it's hard to pick what ones to post. Altogether we saw 3 males and 5 females. Terri
