They have dives on the Galapagos?

Oops, I think I misunderstood. The only dives around here have liquor licenses.

I would take both those lenses (unless you have a 100-400 or something longer).

I have never been to the Galapogos.

It is my understanding that the Galapagos is a logistics night mare. nothing is secure so you need to pack everything with you. hard to impossible to use a pod.

If I were faced with the options. neither lens is heavy and I have had both with a 60D. The question to me would be, what images will I miss. I would think that your glass would cover much of what there is to shoot. You could adda diopter filter to do close-ups.

I'm sure it's OK. I think we're just having fun here - with someone who can take a joke.

Consider two cameras so you don't have to switch lenses.

Used in a double harness system this could be the perfect solution for taking the weight off your neck, giving you instant adaptation and risking lense changes in harsh environments.
