4K clip limits on the D5 is a couple minutes!

Unless you are shooting lectures, school plays, concerts, etc. the vast majority of video is collections of clips that are all less than 10 seconds. Watch anything on YouTube or even TV and time the length of each clip. Even the evening news! The average seems about 4 seconds.

Have to be more careful now that there are similar model names.
(Should include the maker name anyway so that anyone who is not familiar won't be wondering)

Also, when posting a link, remove the "s" in https to make the link clickable.

D5 and 5D. Then there are the LX100, RX100, ZS100 and TZ100. Sometimes I think camera engineers need some extra help in the marketing department.

Using the camera storage media that may be true, but can the D5 body hook up to a 4K recorder, and thus bypass that limit?

I'm reading that it can. But some shooters don't being hooked up. Well... maybe later after the sun goes down, but not when shooting video.

I have seen many posts with the link having the 's' after http removed. I just click on them (the ones with the 's' in it) and it plays fine. Why is that?

Not sure, but it has something to do with security.
I'm sure someone will weigh in.

you do not need to do that

There are just a few formatting commands on this site if you reply to this or any other post you will see various tags these are in square brackets eg b within [] makes everything bold and then [] with /b inside stops the bold you understand the format .

eg b /b in square brackets is bold
i /i in square brackets is italic
and url /url inside square brackets is a url.

e.g [ url] https://uglyhedgehog.com[/url] just take out the space after the first bracket and it will work

I understand just about everything but the links.
Now I understand that part.
It explains a lot.
Thanks!

I find it easier just to remove the "s" .
Are there times when that won't work?

The real biggie is long addresses e.g a google search string within the url tag it is fine but outside it forces the page wide making each comment wider than the screen and hard to read. I haven't come across sites that don't fall back to http.

Yes, those are pretty "untidy" looking.
