Hey Chuck, looks good but if you had checked the "store original" box we would get to see an image more representative of what you see on your monitor.
Hi Joe,
This is a loner. Never got "Store original" box. Really don't understand the question.

I assume you meant "loaner", as in the lens is not yours?
What Joe meant was that when you selected the images to post, you can choose the option to "store original". This enables the rest of us to open your image in its original size.
Oddly, I see on some of your other posts (e.g.coyotes) you have done so.
Thanks Steve,
I must have "sent the reply" to early. I'll resend photos.
The photos were hand held. The lens ( Nikon 200-500) is heavy, but not as heavy as the Nikon 200-400.

Now you just need that new D500 and you'll be good to go....

Those are all great! The second one is the WOW moment for me.
I think I need to look hard at that lens. What an amazing group of shots.

If you need any encouragement, I will attest that it is a very sharp lens. To me, though, what really sets it apart is how well the VR works. Better than any other lens I own.
What camera are you using? Birds are my focus, and I normally shoot hand held, with a new D810 (replacing a broken D800) and Nikon's full frame 80-400 zoom. I have never been able to reach out like you have to get an osprey. The lens you use is superb and it might be a future purchase.
Kristen
Hi Kristen,
I used a hand held Nikon D4s on this shoot. The osprey had just picked up lunch and landed on a telephone pole about 70 yards away to dine. I got lucky.
