Hi
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.
I've been out to touch for a while and Now I'm back. I had asked a while back about the Canon 7D Mark II and guess what? I finally bit the bullet and bought it :-). Because of the Holidays, I haven't had time to really go try it out yet and the weather has been cloudy and dark.
So Merry Christmas to ME :-).
Very Cool!!... I'm a Nikon person mainly because of button placement but I do love the 7D MarkII. That is an excellent camera and can't wait to see the pics you post!..

Congratulations on your new camera! Hope you have a lot of fun and great results with it!
Congratulations! Great camera. You'll love it!
Canon has a very handy AF guide for the MK II. Not sure where you can download it, but here is the file name:
EOS 7D Mark II AF Guide CUSA 9-2014
Learning the autofocus is the most challenging part of the Mk II. The guide is very handy. I can e-mail you a copy if you wish. Just PM me.
Have fun with your new camera!
Edit: BTW, for some reason that is a secured file. I have found that Adobe Acrobat Reader DC opens it with no problem.
Merry Christmas to you and the best for the New Year. Those wishes are from a Nikon guy. So it is special. Enjoy your new camera.

Thanks so much for the sites to go read.
Yup, I love shooting on overcast days. I discovered that some 30 years ago. I don't remember exactly what it was that I shot, maybe lightning, but I wasn't intending to shoot anything. I was on my way to a store late afternoon during a thunder storm, it wasn't raining, to get something for breakfast and my camera happened to be in the car and things started happening so I grabbed the old TLR, applied sunny 16 rule and snapped some shots. When I developed them I was really surprised at how good they were. They were better than a lot of my bright sun shots. I grabbed some books and talked to other folks and found out that cloudy is often a good time to shoot. That was in Texas, here in Korea, cloudy is often the best time because when the sun is out it is usually hazy.
