I attended a Night Sky Photography class held in Limon, CO in July. We were 100 miles east of the nightlights of Denver and this was probably the best of the shots I took that night. It's a wind mill turbine against the night sky with the Milky Way across the sky behind it.

My best picture? Sorry, I can't do that because by tomorrow I'd change my mind.

ISO 3200, f2.8, 18 second exposure... It was taken with a Canon 5D MkII and a Canon 17 - 35mm lens @ 17mm. I learned a lot in the field outside of Limon that night.

To pick only one is very difficult but this is one of my favorites. A little female Anna's Hummingbird perched on a branch in my backyard. This was also one of my first pictures with my new Nikon. I had just changed over from a Canon system and was (and still am) learning the new landscape of the camera along with a brand new Sigma 150-600mm lens.
Happy New Year! May you all have a wonderful and prosperous 2016!
