I may judge fish that I'm buying to bring home and cook that way . But the
Only thing that counts when judging photos is it's a lot like like judging wine
There is wine snobs , Who can taste the cherry blossoms and smell the lemon
And all sorts of other stuff . That I think only exist in there mind I drink a bottle every two or three days . And the only thing I have tasted so far is good Wine , Passable wine , and bad wine . Photos are the same you like it , It's passable, and it fails . For get about all the rules . Leading lines . The rule of thirds etc . We all learned that years ago , that would be like a office worker. Judging the carpenters house building skills . It's so unnecessary . Every one knows what they see and your brain decides if it's pleasing to you
Or not . If you just want to judge a picture on if it met all the rules. Would
You throw out the best picture of the bunch because it didn't . The rules are made to be broken . The mags and nature shows on tv are braking the rules
All the time . And your getting ground breaking photos because of it . 8-)
