Five years ago today, the last roll of Kodachrome was developed at Dwayne's Camera Shop in Kansas.

I've got a bunch I shot in the '70s and am looking forward to some time with the scanner!

Good luck... Kodachrome is tough to scan. I've done it, with varying success.

Are the images online?
Photographer Steve McCurry obtained the last roll of Kodachrome manufactured by Kodak. A documentary was made about this (including the shots he took). That roll was developed at Dwayne's Photo (in Parsons, Kansas) on July 20, 2010.
According to the book "Kodachrome End of the Run: Photographs from the Final Batches", the last rolls of Kodachrome were processed at Dwayne's Photo on January 18, 2011.
So we are a bit short of five years. I'm waiting to break out the champagne for a few more weeks.

I guess I've always had good luck. I've never had a problem scanning Kodachrome slides, over 3000 of them.

When your the best, songs are written about you. And, to be honest, at that time Nikon was king, but that was then. There are many, many, great cameras out there to day.
