Trying out the new extension tubes

Ok, so having discussed this ad nauseam over in the close-up forum, I finally was able to run some tests with my new, very expensive (ha!) extension tubes. Not all of these qualify as true macro, but they are danged close!
I thought I would post the results for anyone else who is new to this. I used each tube in turn, then combinations of them. All these were taken with a Canon 50mm f1.8 lens stuck on the end. The subject is a fossil trilobite on matrix

looks like you are having good fun with this. I like how you have the light scraping your subject and the shadows you are getting.
