Today an old man said to me...

In my many years in the Art of Photography, I thought that I have heard it all.
I recently did a portrait of an elderly man.
Today he came up to me and said: "You have a way of making people look beautiful"!
Lost for words by his complement, I looked in his eyes and said: Ansel Adams once said..."If you want to create beautiful images...put your self in front of beautiful things"!
The response I made was good....but not as wonderful as his comment.
I was...and am, humbled.
Thank you all for the many wonderful images you have shared on this forum of so many talented artists. I am inspired by you to become a better artist each day.
I am lucky...and proud to be... a small part of this group!
Merry Christmas to you and yours. May you have a wonderful holiday's and God be with you
Thanks, Boone. 8-)

Merry Christmas to all and thank you for all for the wisdom that is shared on this wonderful site.
"You have a way of making people look beautiful".
What a wonderful, telling comment. You deserve to be proud.
Merry Christmas.
a lovely appreciation of your work. the late, great David Vestal once said "you get out of it what you put into it". you are obviously following that path.
not much more to be said.

Same wishes for you, Boone! Merry Christmas.
Merry Xmas to you, too.
I had a similar experience a few days ago. The mother of a family I've taken under my wing told me she has my photographs of her children where she can view them as she lies in bed. She thanked me.
I could only say thank you in return. No wise quotes came to me in that moment. Instead, I felt humbled by her heartfelt gratitude.
This experience money cannot buy.
