We had the opportunity to do a little traveling this fall in Europe. Here are a few images that capture our visit to Oxford, UK. Nothing spectacular; just a bit of travelogue. More from Reims, Zurich, Marseilles, Paris, and Bayeux to follow. Hope you enjoy. (Images made with T3i and Sigma 18-250 zoom)
Stayed in a room on the third floor at St. Bennett Hall at Oxford University. View is from ground floor (floor "zero"). Rope attached to the bell at the very top (3rd floor) is the fire alarm.

Pub in Oxford where C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkein and the Inklings writers group would share a pint or two. Affectionately also known as the "bird and baby". Good food and libations found here.

Glad you enjoyed them. The first two days there I did not carry my camera as I just wanted to get immersed in the city. That was very helpful for the following days when I did carry the camera and knew what I wanted to get images of.
Thank you for sharing those.

Thank you for your comments and compliments. Glad you enjoyed the pictures.
I was always fond of Oxford. Blackwell's Bookshop is amazing and the Broads and the smaller streets are interesting as well. as well.

Had many a drink in 'The Eagle and Child'. And the Turf Tavern, The Bear Inn, and The Plough (with it's own library) just of the canal a little way outside of town.
Nice shots. Might have to go back and relive some experiences.

John, glad I could help bring back some good memories. This trip was a bit of a whirlwind as we were getting my son settled in at Oxford. Next trip will be a bit slower with more opportunities to truly explore.
