Nikon D610 Fine tune?

High guys, I have the above camera and I've been playing with the fine tune. I understand the concept of fine tune but what confuses me is there are two settings. One is saved value the other is default.
what is the difference?

If I'm right the default should be "0" centered. Saved would be the setting that you set or dialed in while doing your fine tune.

Yes, setting default undoes your dialed in setting and take the camera back to it's factory setting 0.

"Default" will save the SAME value to any lens mounted. The Saved Value is the adjustment set for a specific lens the YOU have to designate.

I've never had to fine tune (guess I just don't notice) but does one fine tune a lens, or is it the focusing apparatus within the camera?

You fine tune the body to the lens in a Nikon and it's called micro adjust for Canon but it's the same.
