No questions asked. No funny looks. We should be able to openly carry our cameras wherever and whenever!!

At a college nearby, a guy wearing camos and carrying a tripod was confused for carrying a gun. Classrooms were locked down and police were called. He was questioned and released when it was discovered that he was carrying a tripod....and not a gun.

In some instances, you would be able to carry a gun, but not a camera. At least you could do some shooting. :D

Open carry makes those who aren't sure of your intentions very nervous. So it will always make you the center of attention. Better sometimes to carry concealed and then be able to pull it out and "point and shoot" when needed...... Oh - what were we talking about?

There are open carry laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages, too.

If I mount a Hero 4 on my rifle, is the still considered photography?

That would depend on which device you shoot. :D

Of course, if you were in the military, there might be a "hero" at both ends of the rifle. :D
