Christmas Window at Lord & Taylor, New York City. These geese would rather sell jewelry than be served as a Christmas dinner! Sony RX1r II, 35mm ISO 2000, 1/60sec, f 11.

There was no post processing done to this image. I didn't notice the edge of the window frame till after I took it. Would it have been better had I gotten frame all around the window, or had eliminated the frame on the right side? This is one of the small windows, perhaps 2' x 2'. Some of the bigger windows are more dramatic/interesting, but this one spoke to me since I'm a bird lover too! And I liked the lighting.

Comments appreciated!

(IMVHO!) It's about crop & zoom! I would crop out the leftist most tree and goose, Take 15% off the top and, as you mentioned, lose the window frame. It's nice anyway. Del :)

Agree with what Del said except take 17% of the top.

I'd crop out the window edging. That moves the center point of interest a little further to the right and leaves you with a balanced image. Cropping off the top is simply a matter of taste, I think. It didn't seem to change the quality of the image for me.

You said it was a small window. It is difficult for me to see any indication of a window at all. For a 'windowscape' theme I would think more frame would be nice addition, or at least some type of reflection from the glass, so that I could tell the photo was taken through a window. In this case the crop may be too tight.
