Superstition Moonrise

I had posted this photo some time ago, but recently made some lighting improvements. This is not a composite photo with the moon layered in.
It is a simple one shot deal. Was able to get decent focus on the moon's features while obtaining sharpness on the Superstition Mountain's outline.

Also, this photo was taken the night before the complete lunar eclipse of the supermoon.

Comments are welcomed. Am always looking for improvements in technique.

Great photo. I would like it better if the moon was more to the left and the mountain had a subtle bit of color.

I remember this because of its stark lines and brilliant moon. It's a gorgeous image, one I'd love to have taken!

Thankyou for your comment. I agree that there are more than one way to capture this scene. On this one I chose to have the moon touching the edge.

Another point for those wanting to make a similar photo.
Chose one day before the complete full moon to take your shot.
On this day, the skies are still visible as the moon rises while the sun sets.

Love the photo however...... If you had moved a hair left, would the moon have been not been touching the rocks. I think that might have been a little more affective. I suppose you could correct it in Photoshop. Just my $.02.

Couple of seconds earlier might have got a bit of space between the moon and the mountain. That'd be perfect for me, but I'll give this 99/100.
