I'm not familiar with the ships of the Great Lakes other than from the Gordon Lightfoot song. Are these ore ships and are they similar to the Edmund Fitzgerald that sank in a storm? #'s 2&3 are my favorites of your posting. Good shots showing the lines of the ships.

The ships carry ore,grain coal,and some bring wind turbine parts too
I've been up to Superior and Duluth a number of times over the years and have seen many ships come and go. Neat to see it happen but even better on a clear and sunny day.
the ships are huge, got some photos of them up in Marquette Mi., the lighthouse looks to be an intriging shot, but its a six or so hour drive, maybe you could humor me. Scott

This looks like the Superior - Duluth area where I was raised.
Beautiful area except in the winter.
