That way we can share information, spy on each other and start big fights when a nikonian goes and touts its horn in the conian's forum and vice~versa.

That could make for a new attic and much more interesting as this time it would really be about who has the bigger one...

Just an idea...

I agree, that way we can keep all Canon and Nikon owners together in one place, leaving other camera users to interact with each other on a more sensible dialect. Oops.

Naw, this little world needs to reflect reality of a bi-partisan system in the US where only two are represented leaving everyone in the cold.

Either taking a picture of your print or (more commonly now) post a digital scan of your negative. I do it all of the time here. It's all I've shot for a month now. I don't even own a digital slr.

There is a LOT of flexibility now in film shooting. I can finish shooting a roll at noon, develop it by 12:30, have the negatives in the film dryer by 12:31, and out of the scanner/in to the computer by 1:30pm.

Not bad. It's all the benefits of digital and the pleasure of film shooting all rolled into one.

I have a film dryer and a scanner salvaged from a one hour photo; it will scan a whole roll in about 3 minutes or so.

I'll sign on for that, but it is a bit convoluted / counterproductive to have to take your film digital to participate.

Not to me. Just because an image gets digitized doesn't invalidate it.

There are a lot of ways to skin that cat. :)

It's a quick and painless operation to get negatives into the computer..the easiest being let someone else do it.

The most fun way is to develop and scan them at home.

Just a touch of sadism this morning? Nikon and Canon owners to the Arena? Why not start it as a division of the Attic? Save admin time and effort along the way.

A camera is just a tool, I could do as well with a Canon as a Nikon or Leica --- the latter two I grew up with. In a lot of cases brand choice depends on where you invested to start with -- Nikon and Leica supporting vintage lenses, Canon not. Economics and familliarity.
Fine steel from any country or brand, well manufactured, cuts just as deep.
