Boy is this a tough one to get with my Meade 8" and the Canon T2i.
Even with the 14" Telescope it was extremely dim and none existant in the 8".
Maybe some of the f/4 or f/6.3 scopes would do a better job.
I shot this with the Modified Canon T2i camera, 360 sec & ISO 800.
Celestron AVX mount and Orion Star Shooter Guide Camera.
Stacked in DSS, single Light with 4 Darks.

Thank you very much Steve for looking in and the nice complement.

Cool Craig!
I see in Stellarium that is in the East right now. I'll have to see if I can get some.
Seems like the ones I've been picking are all setting by the time I begin to get on them.
I think my planning stinks.

And yes Sonny to the East right now you have the Crab, Flame, Horeshead and of course Orion Nebulas just to name a few.

Craig, can you use Xerene to stack astro or is it mainly for macro etc.?

The Ads seem to tout it as a focus stacking tool I don't know about Astro Images.
Have you tried it yet for your Astro work???

PS: Good luck to Sonny with the Crab Nebula.
Your faster f/stop scope should do a much better job. And Jim's 6" too.
Nikon Shooter suggested I should shoot 100 Lights, 20 Darks, 20 Bias and 20 Flats.
It sounds like a really good idea.

I'm on it tonight.
500s was too long, 450s was still to long.
But after a slight aim correction (trying to center, shots were a tad low)
PHD is really doing a stellar job for me now.
OK, Mr. Single Shot is on the prowl.
Surprisingly enough, it may be about the right size for my telescopes FOV.
I'm making note of those DSO's, Craig.
Thanks! :)

I think I'm in a whole different County, not just a different farm field here.
CCD imaging seems to thrive on outrageously long exposures.
I had a 2000 second one cooking, but caught a meridian flip in it.
:-(
So with that in mind, I offer this, 25 minute single shot:
(Keeping the case of crabs in one thread... )
Thanks again for the lead, Craig.
