Very nice photos! Quite tasty too, dipped in buttermilk, battered, little salt and pepper, fried, AND good for you. Wash 'em good in case the dogs....uh.............

I love these...and I love dandelions...I hope my friends are all like dandelions...nothing will destroy them! :)
A friend of mine went out in the front yard and picked some dandilions and cooked them. I thought she was crazy and would not eat them. After she asked me to try them about 30 time, I did, and guess what? They were very good.
A weed is just a flower that hasn't been cultivated! Lovely shots!

Nice shots. I like the reflection in the first two. My mom used to make wine out of them. I might have to try the buttermilk and batter on them.

You'll love them, we called them dandy fritters.

We loved those "dandy fritters" as a kid. Mother mixed the leaves in with other cooked greens. Maybe a weed, but all parts very useful and good for you too.
All nice but #3 is my favorite. Thanks for posting.

When taking care of my parents yard, I always HATED to see these!
But before I had to either dig or spray them away I liked to look at them and play with the seed-heads, and then since I no longer am doing yard work there I have returned to my "LOVE EM" attitude when I see them anywhere!!
Excellent captures of the awesome beauty of their close-up details.

And from what I was told as a youngster, the dandelion was IMPORTED to North America by Europeans that used them for cooking, etc, and they just spread more than some people care for, so they became labeled as 'weeds' instead of the cultivated plants they started out to be!!
