The foreground boom, pulley and rope detract from the image. Being dead center it becomes the main subject and I don't think that was your intention. Clone them out and it will improve the image.

I started trying to be artsy too. Some times it works and some times not. Now I do a lot of looking and take a lot of shots of the same thing in different spots. I get lucky some times and stand in the right spot. :-D Keep shooting and moving! And posting!
