Each winter we host mostly a hundred or more sparrows and sometimes a dozen Eurasian Doves. This fall I decided to build a new feeder with a platform large enough for doves. the feeder also attracts cats and hawks.
I've decided to post the following photos from right out of the camera, because they are grab shots. Only resizing and straightening has been done using Faststone Image Viewer.
I shoot in jpeg + raw, so I always have a large file if I need one.
The first photo was shot in manual mode and I decided on the exposure without a meter.
The hawk photos were shot in auto mode. There was no time to consider exposure. It was run into the other room, grab a camera, put it in auto mode and hope for a shot.
It's a Sharp-shinned Hawk.
They were shot through double paned windows.

Very good watcher..you wouldn't think the Hawk was shot through a double glazed window.
Great shots......and super clean windows. 😀
