Film type for Voigtlander Vito II

Was looking to buy a Voigtlander Vito II film camera for my dad for old time's sake. Does anyone know much about the older cameras?

I guess the earlier version of the Vito II used 35mm film (like we have today, I guess they mean), but after that they used 135 film? What's the difference?

Anyone with any experience with this old film? I'm guessing those are not compatible. Looks like the 135 film is running about $10 / roll.

Looks like the same thing. Standard 35mm is called 135. Learned something. Now if I could just remove the original post since I found the answer to my question.... ;-)

Yes 135 is the old Kodak number for 35mm film like 120 or 127 film.

I had to pull out a couple of rolls of my old film to see. One had 135, but the other didn't. I never really thought about the 135 number. I just went to the store and bought 35mm film. Been yeeeears, though!

The link works better without the "s" after http. Thanks.

It only works when you cut and paste. Should have noticed the "s." Thank you.

My first 35mm camera was a Voigtlander Vitomatic II. I still have it and occasionally put a roll of film through it. Your Dad will love the camera.

I guess he had one ages ago, but must've gotten rid of it. He has no idea he's getting one for Christmas. ;-)
