Korea is often mentioned as the "Forgotten War", but Nam may have left or never entered the public conscious quicker. And yet our most recent engagements may have not even been on the radar for most. Are we becoming so used to conflict that it is not even worth note. Are we so oblivious to it we forget those whos lives where impacted, the lives that are lost? On so many levels we as a society does not seem to be advancing. Thanks for your service
Thank you for your service
Love me some 50. More important THANK YOU for your service.
You should make a caption under the 50 cal to read "Smile and wait for the flash".

I was in Di An from 1971 to standiwn in February 1972 with the 135 Assault Helicopter Company. When I arrived the Australians that were stationed with us just stood down. The EMU'S ( experimental military unit ) and only had maybe 80 Americans in the entire Base Camp. We're lucky to have over a thousand ass kicking ROK Marines that Charlie was afraid of so we never got hit with incoming. Our sister company the 187AHC joined us. I was one of the last Americans to serve in this location. The major from battalion would fly in and chew us out until somebody yelled who f'ing cares we have the highest kills.inhis battalion. Beer only cost ten & fifteen cents a can in the club and $6 a month for momma san to clean hootch & wash your clothes. Was not into drugs so came home with a lit of money.
