Heading for the Carribean, but making a stop in Houston on a very rainy day we took time out to focus on my wife's love, quilting. I often go with her to quilt shows around the US. It's kind of an undiscovered frontier for photographers. I never take shots of the quilting booths without permission from the owners but shooting the exhibit quilts is fair game. I do ask and usually get an OK to shoot in the booths but custom is to ask. Anyway, these shows are a plethora of light, color, shadow, and texture. Hope you enjoy a few shots.

My mother was in love with the art of Quilting. I was at the State Farm Show Bld. in Harrisburg Pa. for the Indoor State Archery shoots several times. Each year, at the same time as the Archery Championship, there is a "HUGE QUILT SHOW". The quilts are mostly made by the Mennonites that are common to the area.
The prices I saw people pay (3K - 5K) simply floored me!!
Those shots of yours are simply beautiful. Great work there indeed!!! Thanks, Boone.
