Excellent shots, Dean. :D :D
Very well done. I love the swallowtail!
A pleasant walk with, nice shots found along the way. I too like it so.
Thanks everyone. Dixiegirl, I've seen so many photos that don't have anything to do with the photo it's amazing. I've also seen a lot that I would like to know more about but have no way of finding out. Wish everyone would be more informative. It was really a pleasant walk that day.
I'm not sure what you mean, Dean, but the nice folks posting here are always willing to answer questions about their shots. All you need to do is ask. :-)

Dixiegirl, Did you ever see one of those shots that you wondered exactly what the photo was of or why the photog shot it? I've seen some that I'd love to go to the location and see what I might come up with shooting the same subject. Sometimes you wonder why the photog even thought to take the shot. Just some explanation. I often on several other blogs give what about the item interested me, how I made the shot, even what the subject was if it's pretty rare or obscure. They say one picture can tell a thousand words, but sometimes that's just not so, and that's the shot I would love to see some info on. Make sense? By the way, I meant to say titles not photos in the second sentence.
Aha! Makes perfect sense. It was the typo that threw me off. Oh, and I agree with you. :-D

All of the shots were taken at the Trinity Audubon Reserve in
south Dallas, TX. There are several hundred acres along the Trinity River with both gravel and hard surface trails. There is also a paved hike/bike trail that runs through the preserve. There are also numerous ponds and a fantastic teaching complex. Great place to spend time. Oh, the claw was a craw fish claw that was about an inch long on one of the trails.

Dean, all three are great photos but I can not decide which I like best. It looks like a tie between the dragon and the butter. I believe I will go with the dragon, they are somewhat special to me. 8-)
Thanks, Greg

Thanks. It looked so huge, I couldn't imagine what it was.
