UPDATE your OLYMPUS Camera using Apple El Capitan

I tried to update an Olympus camera using the Updater currently available on the Olympus website but it refused to see the camera. I messaged Olympus and got this reply:
"The problem is that Version 1.2 of the camera updater is not compatible with OS 10.11 El Capitan.
You will need v1.2.1 of the Camera Updater . Currently the Camera Updater v 1.2.1 is not available on our Website as a standalone download. If you have our Olympus Viewer 3 software installed You can use it to install the V 1.2.1 of the Camera Updater.
Just launch Viewer 3 Look in the Menu at top and select UPDATE/ UPDATE SOFTWARE.
It should show you that 1.2.1 of the updater is available. Select it and download and install it. Once it is installed you will be able to update the camera under El Capitan."
I followed the instructions and now everything is operating correctly. I will be able to update my OMD E-M1 later this week.
