World War 2 facts.

Interesting WW2 facts, but one item I noticed right away was the statement for no.18 that American forces had more than 80,000 killed. The U.S. DOD states that there were 89,500 casualties, of those losses a little over 19,000 were killed, the rest were wounded or missing.
By the way, total British losses reported at 1,400.

Horrible. WW II was the last actual war involving the United States.

One WWII "fact" I came across a number of years ago claimed that: For every 10 Germans killed during the war 8.5 were a result of the Red Army --- Now I used quotes on Fact & added the word Claimed --- So who knows -- Just the same interesting

I've no idea where you got the figure for total british losses, but more than 1400 died in the loss of a single ship- HMS Hood. British forces losses in fact exceeded 300,000.

The statistics were just referring to the "Battle of the Bulge."
