FZ70 at Best Buy new $179..... Amazon will not match price. SX50 sold out at Canon Refurshibed. And those on a budget as I am.... a 7inch Amazon Fire Tablet for $49.99 and the Childs 7 inch Tablet with 2 years warranty and a year of Amazon free time for $84.95.
I did pick up a FZ70 and comparing it to a SX50 has a better EVF for me.
Amazon did have a one day on a FZ300 for $399 but it is over....just sharing for those on budgets this Christmas...
Happy holidays especially for those that dislike Wal Mart at 3am, on Black Friday....there are deals out there now
One more camera that I noticed...A P600 refurshibed for $209 from Cameta also sold through Best Buy and Amazon
None of these are cameras that I would probably purchase except its hard to pass up a deal and want to give a great Christmas to the family....
Happy Holidays to you all and pray for peace on earth

The FZ70 is a bargain at that price, a 60x super zoom with many features including RAW capture.
I have been.watching the price for probably 2 years...you cant find a used FZ70 for that much less a new warranteed camera. Glad I could find the $179 to do it...Should give some very nice birding/wildlife photos on a nice day. Heck saw a mint HX300 open box missing the battery and shoulder strap for $170 Wow its too bad I can only shoot one camera at a time....Christmas and the holidays can be so much fun
Do these models have a maker's name or have they dispensed with that?
It would help newbies out a ton if you specified Panasonic, Nikon, Canon etc when giving out camera models.
Anybody seeing ads for a Leica M Monocrom (Typ 246) delivered Christmas Day for $87.95? (No, I didn't put that decimal point in the wrong place)
Happy Holidays to you also.

FZ70 is a 20 to 1200mm bridge camera by Panasonic....P600 is a 1400mm bridge camera from Nikon.....HX300 is a 1200,, Bridge camera from Sony....Had the pleasure of owning a HX300 for a year..my first bridge camera...all 3 cameras are fine outside and have given good to great shots.Being that the sensors are small in all and they can have a hard time in lo light...I think ( my opinion) is that for the money right now they are a steal and you can always return them if they do not work out......You will definitely have fun with the zoom...with the Nikon being the longest but seems to have the most trouble holding a focus..HX300 and FZ70 are both pretty quick and am proud of some of the shots I was lucky enough to stumble upon....
These are last generation but have found that the new generation of these models HX400 P610 SX60 are not that much improved just adding features that I do not need and the ones previously mentioned woud make a great gift....Just type the name in the search box here and you will get many opinions and lots of shots from each one of these cameras....You should have a 30 to 45 day return after Christmas on these......Decided to keep the FZ70 for myself EVF seems good which I need and focus is quick enough....Merry Christmas to me....

Took these today with my FZ70, straight out of camera, no post processing.
Have had the FZ70 since it first came out. I have been well pleased with it over all. At that price buying it makes sense. Have fun.
Thanks for the images and the comments The images are a very nice set. The shots remind me of the daily walks on the trails around here bring. Living on the west coast of Florida the trail wildlife and plants have been a blessing.Every day on the same trail can be so different...Yes its a very nice set especially the butterfly and the white heron.
